We promote safety and health by providing programs, resource services and educational materials to prevent or reduce both the personal and economic loss.

What we Offer/Directions

We are a chapter of the National Safety Council and a member of the Florida Association of Safety Councils.
The NCFSC provides:
 
Traffic Safety Classes, including: 
  • Defensive Driving-Basic Driver Improvement (the Traffic Collision and Avoidance Course)
  • Advanced Driver Improvement
  • the Drug, Alcohol and Traffic Education Course
  • the DUI Program (Level I, Level II, and Supervision) for the 8th Judicial Circuit
  • Hands On Driving (Driver Education)
  • 3 IN 3
  • Other courses upon request
Occupational Safety Classes and a Professional Safety Certification program
 
Community Safety Activities, including: 
  • support of Project Graduation
  • safety news releases to the media
  • public service announcements
  • safety information and speakers for the general public and businesses
  • participation in the Alachua County Traffic Safety Team and the SafeKids Coalition
  • Safety resources such as posters, brochures, First Aid Handbooks
Publications, including:
  • Accident Facts
  • Florida Driver Handbook
  • Today's Supervisor
  • other publications on specific topics for a safer workplace or home
